It is an adventure and it is not easy, but it is incredibly rewarding. With homeschooling we have faced many challenges that are typical of many children who are learning. However, since my children are homeschooled we were able to begin homeschooling with essential oils.
Homeschooling with essential oils have provided us with some amazing support in areas that can become incredibly overwhelming. After a morning like we had today, I thought ‘there is no way I can keep these thoughts to myself!’ By providing a list of what we use, how we use them and some further suggestions, I hope I am able to reach other homeschoolers, but also other individuals who could use some other these tactics in their life!
Homeschooling with Essential Oils
Our start off the day essential oil roller ball:
Peppermint, which has been incredible to assist with focusing
Vetiver, which when you have two hyperactive kids is a necessity, it helps to calm them down and not be quiet so fidgety!
Lavender, it is relaxing and calming, plus my children just LOVE lavender oil!
Believe, confidence boost in a bottle. This particular oil is a Young Living blend of amazing oils jam packed into one bottle!
These essential oils are all in separate bottles that I have combined into a glass roller bottle with a carrier oil for application!
Then there are days where we are starting a new subject that frustrations are on high.
When the kids are getting frustrated and easily annoyed we turn to STRESS AWAY. Stress Away is another blend that Young Living has created to do exactly what the label said. Copaiba, Lime, Cedarwood, Vanilla, Ocotea, and Lavender are the different single essential oils combined at the perfect ratio to take the edge off.
Sometimes, school work comes not only with frustrations, but those moments when you are just upset because you can’t get a problem right, or you can’t figure it out.
My daughter is autistic, ADHD and dyslexic. There are some days that are REALLY hard for her when it comes to reading. On these days we have stress away on hand for the frustrations, but when she is getting upset there is another oil we reach for, Peace and Calming 2.
Peace and Calming 2 is another one of Young Livings unique blends that bring a sense of peace and balance to a person. It calms you down and grounds you. Within this beautiful blend you are able to enjoy the aroma of Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, German Chamomile, Vetiver, Cistus, Bergamot, Cassia, Davana, and Young Living’s exclusive Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oils.
While these 3 blends (two of which Young Living has blended for us!) are our go to in our homeschooling day, there are many more that children can benefit from!
