Ask and you shall receive.
I received A LOT of people asking for how I make my lavender lemonade. It is a hit at get togethers, or if you are like me, it is a staple in the house.
It is incredibly refreshing and a great treat for the kids. With all natural ingredients you can’t get much better.
My kids will randomly get that sweet treat, while I know how it is actually incredibly good for them!
It doesn’t get much better than that!
So, I am going to give you the recipe and how to combine it all for the best lavender lemonade experience. Are you ready?
You will need:
6 organic lemons
1 gallon of water
1/2 cup local spring honey (this is lightly sweetened double up for more of a punch)
2 drops Young Living Lavender Vitality oil
Before I give you the how to, I want to really break down how good it is for you and your kids. I am one who has been working diligently to get rid of all the non-natural sugars and processed food in our house. These things are becoming a very special ‘treat’ for my kids. When possible, we avoid. So if I am making it, there will be a benefit to it.
Lemons, a fruit so simple yet so beneficial for you. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and help aid digestion. Your gut health will thank you when you begin to include them in your diet. It is also good to help flush your renal system (urinary system). It is a must have in your life.
When you get a pure local honey, your sinuses will thank you! Local honey (local to you!) will help your body to reduce allergy symptoms. Though there isn’t a ton of honey in this gallon of lemonade, it definitely doesn’t hurt to keep it in your cabinet for when your throat tickles or when the pollen count is high!
Young Living lavender vitality essential oil, for my kids this is my favorite ingredient. You might be wondering why in the world the lavender would be my favorite for the kids? I know everything else is packed with amazing benefits, but this oil for me is the top notch reason why I really love my kiddos drinking this drink.
